The Lover

The Lover
From the book of Marguerite Duras.
When this movie came out I was just a teenager and I wasn't really allowed to watch it (you know,17yrs old girl in love with a wealthy 32 yrs old good looking man...) however it was one of my favourites.
More than anything else I was in love with English actress Jane March and even more with her style in the movie.
The hat, the soft silk dress and those shoes..on that boat...

Next time I think I will watch another all time favourite from that era,
Leon by Luc Besson with a very young Natalie Portman.

peonie e cappuccino

First day for my lill' son Valentino to be without me at nursery (day3!).
Brave kid ( or boring mummy?).
What to do with all this time??? Strange feeling.
Meantime new flowers and Cappuccino.

Petersham Nurseries

One of my favourite place in London.
Even if it is for far from home it is worth a visit or two or more for its gorgeous swanky garden center , the shop and definitely the restaurant, where talented Skye Gyngell is head chef.

Something Borrowed : The Halo Tiara by Cartier

We all agree the McQueen dress worn by Catherine Middleton on her wedding day to Prince William was absolutely Flawless!! Stunning!! But as a jeweller, what about the jewellery ?

Cathrine Duchess of Cambridge

Catherine, now known as the Duchess of Cambridge, worn the diamond creation as her 'something borrowed' from her grandmother-in-law,The Queen.

The veil was held in place by the Cartier ‘halo’ tiara, made in 1936 and purchased by King George VI for
his wife Queen Elizabeth three weeks before he succeeded his brother as King.

The tiara was presented to Princess Elizabeth, now the Queen, by her mother on the occasion of her 18th birthday. It has then passed down two generation.

Princess Margaret

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother

Catherine matched the tiara with earrings by Robinson Pelham - a gift from her parents inspired by the new Middleton coat of arms.
