Something Borrowed : The Halo Tiara by Cartier

We all agree the McQueen dress worn by Catherine Middleton on her wedding day to Prince William was absolutely Flawless!! Stunning!! But as a jeweller, what about the jewellery ?

Cathrine Duchess of Cambridge

Catherine, now known as the Duchess of Cambridge, worn the diamond creation as her 'something borrowed' from her grandmother-in-law,The Queen.

The veil was held in place by the Cartier ‘halo’ tiara, made in 1936 and purchased by King George VI for
his wife Queen Elizabeth three weeks before he succeeded his brother as King.

The tiara was presented to Princess Elizabeth, now the Queen, by her mother on the occasion of her 18th birthday. It has then passed down two generation.

Princess Anne

Princess Margaret

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother

Catherine matched the tiara with earrings by Robinson Pelham - a gift from her parents inspired by the new Middleton coat of arms.
